Լոնդոնի Բեքթոն արվարձանի 30-ամյա բնակչուհի Ալինա Լուկան, հակառակ բժիշկների կանխատեսումների, մեկ շաբաթվա ընթացքում երկու անգամ հղիացել է։ Ուշագրավ պատմությունը ներկայացրել է Daily Mail-ը։

Լուկան երազում էր բազմանդամ ընտանիքի մասին, սակայն նրան տևական ժամանակ չէր հաջողվում երկրորդ անգամ հղիանալ հիպոթիրեոզի պատճառով (վահանաձև գեղձի ֆունկցիայի նվազում):Բժիշկները պնդել էին, որ նա միայն հինգ տոկոս հնարավորություն ուներ նորից մայր դառնալու։ Մի քանի անհաջող փորձերից հետո նա և ամուսինը որոշել էին հանձնվել և կենտրոնանալ իրենց առաջնեկի դաստիարակության վրա։

Սակայն պլանային ուլտրաձայնային հետազոտության ժամանակ բժիշկները պարզել են, որ բրիտանուհին հղի է երկվորյակներով, որոնք բեղմնավորվել են մեկ շաբաթվա տարբերությամբ։ Այն հազվագյուտ երևույթը, երբ ձվաբջիջը բեղմնավորվում է սերմնաբջջով և տեղավերվում արգանդում երկրորդ անգամ՝ առաջին անգամից ընդամենը օրեր կամ շաբաթներ անց, ըստ բժիշկների, կոչվում է սուպերֆետացիա:

The pair were delivered at 35 weeks with Millie weighing 4lbs 5oz — who was conceived first — and Ellie following one minute later at 4lbs 4oz. The full-time-mum has since set up an Instagram page in a bid to raise awareness of superfetation pregnancies Ms Luca said: 'The pregnancy was very hard and painful. I thought my back would break because my belly was so big' She said: 'I'm small. My skin was so stretched and I had so many marks and was thinking my belly would explode soon. I was over the moon to hold them for the first time, it was amazing to be honest' Ms Luca: 'You can see everything like double — not just because of having two babies, but everything — your emotions and you're more sensitive. When I tell people [my story] they look at me and they think that I'm crazy and wonder how it was possible. If someone told me before [my experience], I think I'd be the same'
