Հունգարիայի իշխանությունները Սերբիայի հետ սահմանին ստիպված են եղել մոտ 150 կմ երկարությամբ և 4մ բարձրությամբ փշալարե ցանկապատ կանգնեցնել` փախստականների անկառավարելի հոսքը զսպելու համար:

Սակայն, ինչպես նշում է The Daily Mail-ը, հուսահատության ճիրաններում հայտնված փախստականների համար փշալարե ցանկապատն արգելք չի հանդիսացել, և նրանք շարունակում են ներթափանցել Հունգարիա:

Հայտնի է, որ փշալարի անցկացումից հետո Սերբիայից Հունգարիա է տեղափոխվել 1.200 մարդ, ինչը 2 անգամ ավելի է նախորդ ամսվա տվյալներից։

Հունգարիայի վարչապետ Վիկտոր Օրբանի հրամանով՝ փշալարե ցանկապատն ապօրինի ճանապարհով հատած յուրաքանչյուր անձի մինչև 3 տարվա ազատազրկում է սպառնում։
